日本固有種で、本州及び九州に分布する。オスは未知。L. pasaniaeやL. rotunndusには楯板に鐘状感覚器は無いが、本種には1対ある。温帯域のコナラの葉に生息する。

This species is endemic to Japan and occurs on Honshu and Kyushu. Males are unknown. L. pasaniae and L. rotundus lack campaniform sensilla on the pelta, whereas this species has a pair. It inhabits the leaves of Quercus serrata [Fagaceae] in the temperate region.
